Hop into Easter Fun: A Week of Eggs, Bunnies, and Springtime Joy!

This week, our theme is Easter Fun! Children will immerse themselves in the joys of springtime, celebrating the traditions of Easter through exciting hands-on activities. Through storytelling and songs, they will explore the magic of Easter, discovering tales of hopping bunnies, colourful eggs, and the changing season. Creative experiences will include decorating Easter eggs, crafting Easter bonnets, and engaging in sensory play with themed cooking activities. Mathematical and problem-solving skills will be strengthened through games such as egg hunts, shape-matching activities, and sorting games. Phonics sessions will focus on letter recognition and early writing skills, incorporating Easter-themed words and sounds.

Please note that from next week, we will be on holiday until the start of the new term on Tuesday 23rd April 2025. However, we will remain open for our Holiday Scheme Club, running from 31st March to 17th April, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Spaces are limited, so please book your place through our website.

Making an Easter basket will provide an opportunity to follow step-by-step instructions, supporting sequencing skills and early reading comprehension.

Wednesday: The Bunny Carrot activity will incorporate number recognition alongside literacy as children identify numerals on carrot slices. The Egg Graph activity will involve discussing and labelling different shapes, promoting early writing and descriptive language skills.

Thursday: Children will strengthen fine motor skills by cutting and assembling their Hatching Chick craft. They will follow verbal and visual instructions, reinforcing their ability to listen, comprehend, and follow steps sequentially.
